Jackie Buckler Steps Up Her Game

“I personally never want to look back and say I wish I had…. I want to know I did!”

Jackie Buckler, co-owner of The Hair Company in Leonardtown, Maryland, has been a self proclaimed “Education Junkie” since she entered the industry 27 years ago and has been a salon owner for 15 years. Jackie has never shied away from getting the help she needs to run her business effectively, and has been following Michael Cole’s programs for the last 20 years and feeling the positive results ever since.

“As a salon owner working behind the chair, I have a lot on my plate, so there are times I just need a reminder (or more like a kick in the butt) to get focused on my business behind the chair. I work with an Associate with an amazing work ethic; I wanted to step up my game behind the chair to ensure that I set an example for her to follow.”

Jackie’s staff was on board too, with attending a recent Step Up! Fast Track to Wealth seminar and she met with absolutely no resistance. One stylist that attended had been “stuck” in level 1 for 3 years made a jump within four months after attending!

“Having the associates with their educators at the class was HUGE! The associates ‘got it’, and now work together better with their educators to see how far they can take it.

The biggest area our whole team improved on was, focus. Once we came back from Step Up and started putting the info we learned into place, they were fired up by the results. It was easy to see that spending just a few extra minutes of planning each day, was all they needed to explode.”

Jackie’s goal has been to take more time away from the chair to run her business more effectively, and has recently gone from 5 days behind the chair down to 3. She has actually increased her dollar amount by making the change, and has effectively instituted working smarter not harder into her business with the help of her associate program in her salon. The evidence is in a recent “Perfect Day.”

“It was the 1st day we used the “Stylist+Associate Day Planner”, it was July 25th, Jackie states.

She and her associate had 14 guests who were scheduled for 18 services

At the end of the day, they turned it into 14 guests who received 31 services (11 were chemicals and 7 add-ons).

A day that “would” have been around $800 in services, ended up being $1,580 in services and $410 in retail, 26% RTS!

AND while staying on schedule.

What advice would Jackie give to anyone interested in attending Step Up! Fast Track to Wealth?

“JUST DO IT! But don’t go because your boss makes you. You have to want it for yourself. If you go in with an open mind, and REALLY listen and put into practice EVERYTHING you learn, it will be the best money you ever spent! You need to decide if you want a ‘Career’ or a ‘Job’. If you have to spend your day somewhere, use every minute to its fullest! This is an AMAZING industry. I personally never want to look back and say ‘I wish I had…’,  I want to know that ‘I did!’”
